first, anybody who thinks $7.99 is a lot of money is seriously delusional. I mean, $7.99 is a lot of money for a piece of Dubble Bubble, sure, but its not a lot of money for a pretty and very useful iPhone application that beautifies, clarifies and takes all the effort out of a task some of us perform numerous times a day (and that does all that on a platform you can carry around in a holster on your belt). if you dont think this app is worth the price, then dont buy it - which means you cant use it, which in turn means youre incapable of writing an informed review of it, so just keep your mouth shut. : P
if, however, you have use for the functionality this app provides, you will not find that functionality in a clearer, handier or more elegant package anywhere. not even in my all-time favorite iPhone app, Bloomberg. Bloomberg has commodities prices now, yes, but you have to do a bunch of tapping and dragging to get to them (if theres a way to add commodities to your portfolio page, I havent found it), and they dont update once youre there. by contrast, one tap on iGolds icon is all it takes to see gold, silver and platinum prices that update themselves before your eyes at whatever interval youve specified.
if Bloombergs approach is sufficient to your needs, then skip this app, but if youd appreciate much easier access to spot prices and for them to keep updating themselves once youve arrived, iGolds your baby.
